Every year, the University of São Paulo (USP) holds an Information Systems Course Week. It's a vibrant event organized by enthusiastic student volunteers. This week-long event features a diverse range of activities, totaling more than 40 hours of content and it's open to everyone, not just USP students.
Our main focus is to use our website to make it easy for people to learn about the event and register. Plus, attendees can earn rewards based on how involved they get with the various presentations and activities.

2023

We had approximately 4 months to design the website and the engineering team to develop it, the deadline was a little tight. As the team is made up of volunteers we still have to consider the learning time of the development tool, in this case Figma.
Our first task was to choose the main theme for this year's event, and we settled on 'Space.' This decision posed an interesting challenge: creating a website that incorporated space-themed visual elements to immerse visitors in the experience.
To achieve this, we utilized the Space Mono font and incorporated elements such as stars, planets, and astronauts throughout the website design. These elements were essential in making the theme of the event come to life visually.

Throughout the event, our website proved to be highly user-friendly, with one standout feature being the giveaway section. This panel generated a lot of good feedbacks among participants as it allowed them to easily track their attendance and find out which giveaways were ready for collection.
